Traffic Controllers and Team Leader

Stabilcorp is looking for reliable and motivated Traffic Controllers to join our internal traffic control team.

We have casual positions available, with the opportunity for ongoing full-time work for the right people. We are looking for both experienced Traffic Controllers and a Traffic Control Team Leader who can help manage crews, set up sites safely and support our road construction and stabilisation works across NSW.

About the role

You will be working as part of Stabilcorp’s internal traffic control team, supporting our civil construction crews on roadwork projects.

The role will include setting up and packing down signage, controlling traffic, maintaining safe work zones and working closely with supervisors and site crews.

We are looking for people who take safety seriously, can work well in a team and are willing to be flexible with hours and locations.

Positions available

Traffic Control Team Leader

Traffic Controllers

Duties may include

Installing, setting up and packing down traffic signs and devices

Controlling traffic using stop/slow bats and other approved methods

Implementing traffic control plans on site

Monitoring traffic flow and maintaining safe traffic movements through work zones

Communicating with supervisors, crew members and the public

Completing pre-start checks and basic site paperwork

Maintaining a safe work area for workers, road users and the public

Leading and coordinating traffic control crews, Team Leader position only

What we are looking for

Current SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training Card

Traffic Controller, TCR

Implement Traffic Control Plans, IMP

White Card

Current driver licence

Reliable transport

Good communication skills

Strong focus on safety

Ability to work early starts, varying hours and different site locations

Experience in civil construction, roadworks or traffic control is preferred

For the Team Leader role

Previous experience leading traffic control crews

Ability to read and implement traffic control plans

Strong communication and planning skills

Ability to coordinate workers, signage, site set-up and pack-down

A practical, safety-focused approach to work

Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan, PWZ, would be highly regarded but is not essential
