The Opportunity:

Universal Store is looking for a driven and inspiring retail leader to step into a Full-Time Second in Charge role. This position works closely with the Store Manager and mirrors many Store Manager responsibilities, making it the perfect step if you’re looking to grow your retail leadership career.

The successful candidate will work a Tuesday–Saturday roster, including late‑night trade and weekends. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead store operations and team performance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences every day.
  • Support and coach team to achieve sales targets.
  • Execute VM and promotional directives.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock insights.
  • Lead by example and uphold Universal Store culture.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous leadership experience in retail (Shift Supervisor / 2IC).
  • Strong sales focus with ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Warm, confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong operational understanding — VM, stock, store standards.
  • Flexible, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to brand presentation.
