Stabilcorp is a leading road maintenance and pavement rehabilitation contractor servicing local government, state government and private sector clients across NSW and QLD.
With continued growth across our stabilisation, pavement maintenance and road infrastructure divisions, we are seeking an experienced Traffic & Compliance Manager to establish, manage and continuously improve the company's internal traffic management function.
This is a senior specialist role responsible for all traffic planning, permitting, compliance activities and traffic operations management across the business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the General Superintendent, this position will be responsible for all traffic management planning, permitting, compliance and operational coordination activities across Stabilcorp projects throughout NSW and QLD.
The successful applicant will manage Stabilcorp's internal traffic control resources and coordinate subcontract traffic management providers to ensure safe, compliant and efficient project delivery.
The role will be primarily office based from Stabilcorp's Head Office in Wauchope NSW, while supporting operations across our Wauchope Head Office, Orange Depot and Brisbane Depot.
Regular travel to project sites, depots and client locations will be required. Living away from home may be required to support project delivery, undertake compliance inspections, conduct audits and provide operational support where required.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare, review and maintain Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
· Prepare, review and maintain Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGSs)
· Prepare and manage Vehicle Movement Plans (VMPs)
· Submit and manage Road Occupancy Licence (ROL) applications
· Liaise with Transport for NSW, Queensland Transport Authorities, Local Government and regulatory bodies
· Coordinate permit submissions, approvals and amendments
· Manage and coordinate Stabilcorp's internal traffic controllers
· Coordinate and manage subcontract traffic control providers under the direction of the General Superintendent
· Allocate traffic management resources and assets across projects
· Maintain traffic signage, equipment and asset registers
· Conduct signage stocktakes and asset audits
· Forecast traffic management requirements across all projects
· Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
· Investigate incidents, non-conformances and corrective actions
· Develop and maintain internal traffic management procedures, standards and systems
· Support Project Managers, Supervisors and operational teams with planning and mobilisation activities
About You
· Extensive experience within the traffic management industry
· Current Traffic Management Designer accreditation or equivalent experience
· Demonstrated experience preparing TMPs and TGSs
· Experience managing ROL applications and permit processes
· Strong understanding of TfNSW and traffic management requirements
· Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance obligations
· Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
· Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
· Current unrestricted driver's licence
· Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
