About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Community Care team in Kempsey.

This role involves providing person-centred support to clients in their own homes, enabling them to live safely, independently, and with dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care including hygiene, grooming, bathing, toileting, and dressing

  • Support mobility, transfers, and maintain a safe home environment

  • Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping, social support, and light domestic duties

  • Build respectful, trusting relationships that promote client choice and independence

  • Observe and report changes in clients' health or circumstances to your supervisor

About You

You will bring:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Support, or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Worker

  • Current NSW Driver's Licence and reliable transport

  • A caring, patient, and respectful approach

  • Strong communication skills and professional boundaries

  • Reliability, punctuality, and integrity

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:

  • Current National Police Check

  • Valid Australian work rights

  • Relevant training or willingness to complete training (First Aid, Manual Handling, Infection Control, etc.)
