Your new company

Join a respected emergency‑services organisation in Kempsey that has been protecting communities for over a century. This is a place where purpose drives every decision, teamwork is at the heart of operations, and supporting volunteers and frontline responders is part of everyday life. You'll be joining a team that values professionalism, resilience and community service - an organisation widely recognised for its commitment to safety and its strong volunteer culture.

Your new role

As the District Administration Officer, you'll become the central hub of a busy, community‑focused district office. Your work will ensure smooth operations, efficient communication and reliable administrative support across the team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily administrative tasks such as filing, mail handling, records management and document preparation
  • Coordinating office systems and procedures to keep operations running efficiently
  • Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries-both in person and over the phone
  • Preparing agendas, organising venues and catering, and distributing minutes for meetings
  • Maintaining computerised records and ensuring accurate information storage
  • Providing guidance to other staff when needed
  • Supporting operational activities during major incidents, within your skillset
This is a role where your organisation, initiative and people skills will make a real difference.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll bring:

  • A Certificate II in Administration (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine appreciation for volunteer‑based community service
  • Confidence in managing office systems, records and correspondence
  • A current driver licence and willingness to travel
  • The ability to work independently, make sound decisions and collaborate effectively
  • A proactive, supportive approach to working with both staff and volunteers

What you'll get in return

You'll be part of a purpose‑driven organisation where your work directly supports emergency response and community safety. You'll enjoy:

  • A supportive, team‑oriented environment
  • Opportunities to build capability and develop professionally
  • The satisfaction of contributing to meaningful outcomes for communities across the region
