About the role

We are currently seeking reliable and compassionate disability support workers to provide support and assistance to a 26-year old female with a traumatic brain injury, this care will help her live independently in her home. Applicants must be interested in fitness and be willing to walk with her a distance of 3 klms daily, prefers male workers between the ages of 26 and 36 years of age.

Duties include but not limited too

  • Community access for appointments and social outings
  • Support fitness program (regularly attends the gym)
  • Assistance with Allied health tasks
  • Manual handling
  • Domestic assistance
  • Cooking meals
  • Documentation and reporting


You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.

Shift times available:


  • Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be willing to provide transport to and from medical appointments and social activities in their own vechicle.
  • Have a good fitness level
  • Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
  • Current references
  • Mobile phone
  • Current driver's licence and your own car with insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
  • First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
  • Working With Children Check – Paid (mandatory)
  • Certificate III (Ageing or Disability) or equivalent (mandatory)
